Curly hair requires a completely different approach because every curl has its own pattern, movement and personality. My goal is always to create a shape that works with the natural curl instead of fighting against it — while still giving my clients the freedom to wear their hair straight when they want to. For many of my curly cuts, I use a combination of a dry cut, a wet cut and a final dry detailing cut. This allows me to see how the curls naturally live, refine the overall shape while the hair is wet, and then make those final adjustments once the curl pattern is back in place. The result is a haircut designed to look beautiful curly, blown out or straightened — not a cut that only works one way.
